I continue to ponder how God can use technology, like this blog, to invite His Body to be in AWE of what He is doing. I believe He is showing us more of His character as we wait and watch and wonder with the Vaughan family.
Two of the photos are of Charli's daytime nurses. Here is what Kelly said about them, "Miss Candy has the brown hair and the other lady is Miss Peggy. They love on Charli and us everyday. We are beyond thankful for their hands of love."
The photo of the small containers of breastmilk show what Charli is able to take in compared to what Kelly is producing. Kelly shares, "One is a picture of what I am producing a day verses what she is eating. I thought the visual might be fun. The left portion is my pumping. The two smaller bottles on the right is what she is taking in. She is up to full feeds at 8.6cc's with an amino acid based fortifier that is amazing."
Today Kelly also had a special treat when she got to see Charli in clothes! She said, "She is too small for clothes but Candy knew I was coming so she put one of her preemie tops on for our visit. It was a sweet sight. Really fun to see her wearing clothes."
Kelly also shares an amazing wonder of what Jehovah Rapha - our GREAT HEALER is doing in Charli. "Candy pointed out today that there is no medical explanation for why Charli's belly is working the way it is. When she was having troubles awhile back there was no movement in her belly and then things just started to work. We were both in agreement that it was a work of the Lord brought on by the prayers of HIS people. So very thankful for the brothers and sisters who are faithfully journeying with us during this season. We are so so so blessed."
We are also so thankful for the discernment God is giving Candy as she cares for Charli. Here is more from Kelly about some of the ways God is at work.
"Candy seemed very encouraged by her growth and health. She is up to full feeds. The added an amino acid to the breast milk today. I was thankful they did extra research due to our genetics/allergies. They are giving her an amino acid based fortifier instead of one that is dairy based. Candy also felt like Charli was ready to move to another wing of the NICU and have her very own big girl room. Not sure when this might happen but the thought is so exciting. They are hoping to let me try and nurse her soon. Another fun thing to look forward to. Praying for continued growth and smooth processing of the fortifiers."
We PRAISE you Father, Son and Spirit for showing us more of YOU through the life of this little one.
Praise the Lord for these sweet women loving on Charli! What a blessing! Praying still.
